Martha Pohl
The Idaho Ballroom Dance Center is owned by Martha Pohl.
Martha Pohl was born and raised in Munich, Germany. The daugher of Czech and Latvian immigrants, she started dancing ballet and jazz at age four and eventually found herself attracted to the world of ballroom dance, which she has dedicated herself to ever since. After 11 years owning and operating a Fred Astaire Franchised studio in Huntsville, Alabama, she moved to Boise where she has been since 1994. Her goal is to bring the benefits of ballroom dance to the Treasure Valley.
From the very young to the very old, every one has different goals in dance, everything from exercise, to social dance, a stress reducing activity to the highest level of competive dance, and she dedicated herself to meeting those goals.
Martha Pohl is one of the top female Pro/Am competion instructors in North America. She has won several national titles with her amateur students and her program is recognized nationally for its quality of dance.
Mission
Her mission is to provide the best quality ballroom dance instruction available within the Boise / Meridian / Nampa area.
Instruction covers both American Style and International Style Ballroom dance. Emphasis is placed on dance technique and dance partnership.
Goal
It is her goal to make dancing enjoyable and fun for all levels of dancers.
